Pool Closings
Prepare for the Off-Season
As the leaves begin to fall and the Jersey chill sets in, proper winterization is the only way to prevent costly freeze damage. At Orlando Pools, we follow a rigorous closing protocol to protect your plumbing, equipment, and surfaces through the coldest months.
Our Standard Closing Procedures Include:
- System Shutdown: Complete power down and drainage of all filtration equipment.
- Winterizing the Lines: All plumbing lines are cleared with a professional air blower to prevent freezing.
- Hardware Removal: Safe removal and storage of ladders, handrails, and return fittings.
- Plumbing Protection: Installation of winterizing plugs and gizmos (missing parts will be replaced from inventory and billed to the account).
- Winter Chemistry: Application of specialized winterizing algaecide, shock, and anti-freeze where necessary.
- Cover Installation: Secure installation of your safety cover to keep debris out.
Note: Closings do not include cleaning or vacuuming. Please ensure your pool is clear of debris prior to our arrival. Additional charges apply for attached spas, waterfalls, or tarp cover installations.
